July Fishing Forecast for Campbell River
July Fishing Forecast for Campbell River
June 26, 2025
July fishing forecast predicts a chookie mayhem, coho fireworks, and pink salmon on the way! Campbell River is ? right now. The salmon bite is full throttle, and this month is shaping up to be one of the best we’ve seen in years. Here’s what we’re catching at TD Coastal Adventures: ? Chinook (King) – 15–25 lbs and hitting deep! Tyee-class fish showing up daily. Spoons and anchovy rigs are dialed in at 130–180 ft. ? Coho (Silver) – First hatchery fish have arrived and they’re wild! Fast, aggressive, and crushing gear. Doubles and triples are happening when you find the schools. ? Lingcod & Rockfish – Bottom fishing is solid on the reefs when the tides play nice. Vertical jigs and bait combos are putting meat in the box. ? Halibut – Surprise slabs showing up on our full-day combos. Always a welcome bonus! ? COMING SOON: BIG PINK SALMON RETURN Late July will bring waves of pinks — aggressive, fast-paced action perfect for light tackle and family fun. Forecasts show a strong return this year, so get ready for bent rods and big smiles. ? We’re fishing productive lanes off Mitlenatch Island, Cape Mudge, and the Green Can drift zones. We follow the bait and the birds — because that’s where the action is. ? Captain Dan’s Tip: “Fish deep, fish bold. July rewards the ones who adapt fast and stay in the zone. If you’re not marking bait, move — the bite is there if you find it.” ? Prime spots are filling fast. ? Weekends: Almost gone ? Weekdays: Morning departures still open ?️ All charters launch from Dock D – Discovery Marina ✅ 3, 5 & 8-hour trips ✅ All gear, bait, and fish care included ✅ Great for first-timers, hardcore anglers & families ⸻ ? AUGUST TEASER – THE FEEDING FRENZY BUILDS August brings stacked schools of Coho, stronger pink numbers, and the arrival of big, late-run Chinook. It’s when things go from hot… to ? full-on fire. If July is the warm-up, August is the main event. ? Expect faster action, more variety, and a real chance at your bucket list Chinook in calm summer seas. ? This is your time to get on the water. ⸻ ? Book now through Fishbooker or message Captain Dan direct. The tides are right. The fish are here. Let’s go. ? TD COASTAL ADVENTURES – WHERE SALMON LEGENDS BEGIN

Fishing in May is a bit slower than July or August but it is not crowded. The pace of life is slower and the crowds are smaller which is what we wanted. We did not expect to Catch a large amount of fish but wanted the experience of fishing for salmon and being on the spring waters. Chris was a great guide and nice person to meet and fish with in the future. Had a good day and look forward to many meals from our salmon in the summer months ahead!
